Thirteen French cantons have been scanned for the whole XIXth century (north and north-east areas of the department of Seine-et-Marne). It corresponds to an amount of 248 towns.
Seven family groups have been initially defined by the authors. They are all linked with a very great probability. E.g., the 4th group has been already linked to the 7th one as a clue. The founder couples are known as follows:
